City Highlight: Chicago

Eating Our Way Through the City

Our neighbor to the west, Chicago, is an incredible city that is undoubtedly worth a visit. With iconic architecture, enthusiastic sports fans, and a beautiful landscape, there’s so much to do – but our favorite activity is eating the food! Here are four of our favorite spots in the Windy City to check out between your search for the perfect slice of deep-dish pizza.

Stan’s Donuts

Start your day off with breakfast at Stan’s Donuts. A local favorite, this California-style donut shop initially opened in LA in 1903 knows a thing or two about donuts. With lemon pistachio old fashions and caramel marshmallow pocket (!!) donuts, Stan’s brings fun new flavors to the table and has perfected the classics you love. Exposed brick walls and our white oak hardwood tabletops create an inviting atmosphere while bright white seating adds a modern element to the space. The aroma of fresh donuts paired with the brewing of their equally delicious coffee makes Stan’s the perfect spot to sit down, recharge, and enjoy.

Land & Lake Kitchen

Located in the London House Hotel, Land & Lake Kitchen is not just for visitors. Whether you’re looking for a Sunday brunch or a classic happy hour menu – they do it all, and they do it well. Land & Lake was created with the spirit of the Midwest in mind as an elevated nod to the mom and pop restaurants that dotted the Midwestern landscape throughout the 20th Century. We, of course, are also inspired by the Midwest grit and grind and loved partnering with Land & Lake to create pieces that are made locally and celebrate the natural materials around us. Relax in the Swivel Pub stools and share a beer over white oak table tops next time you’re in town.

Nando’s PERi-PERi

Located in 24 countries, with 8 locations in Chicago alone, Nando’s is taking the world by storm with their unique PERi-PERi sauce that "puts fire in [your] belly and ignites passion in [your] soul." Despite their scale, Nando’s' attention to detail is uncompromised – from their branding to their menu, no detail is too small. Stepping into this restaurant, you are immediately met with an explosion of color and pattern, inviting you to sit down and explore. Our white oak tables anchor the vibrant patterns while our custom bar plays in the whimsical space with curved edges and teal inlays. With their roots in Africa, Nando’s brings the rich history of their food and the culture surrounding it to the table, no matter where in the world you sit.
