Columbus: Eat, Drink, and Play

We’re an Ohio-proud company through and through, and although we’ve recently moved our Columbus office (more on that soon!), the capital city is still our favorite place to eat, drink, and play. We’ve had the pleasure of working with amazing Columbus-based businesses throughout the city and have compiled a list of our top recommendations for your next Columbus visit.

Eat

FOX IN THE SNOW – With their understated exterior décor, it could be easy to miss Fox in the Snow café if it weren’t for the delicious food and celebrity status the café has rightfully earned across the city. Owners Lauren Culley and Jeff Excell opened their Italian Village location in 2014 and have since expanded to two more locations in the Columbus area (German Village and New Albany). Featured in Food & Wine Magazine and routinely listed as the best breakfast spot in the city, each Fox in the Snow is a gorgeous space perfectly balancing modern and industrial features while never losing the warm charm of Ohio. Floor to ceiling windows bathe our custom-made tables and Transit chairs in natural light. Concrete table tops and One-Ton stools invite you to sit on the outdoor patio. One step inside this wi-fi free zone and the aroma of fresh baked goods and homey atmosphere will quickly convince you of the hype.

LITTLE EATER – Born in the popular North Market, this vegetable-forward restaurant has recently opened their first standalone location in Clintonville to meet the ever-growing demand for their fresh, fun take on the role vegetables play on our plates. With over 10,000 followers on their Instagram, Owner Cara Mangini’s food is a colorful, beautiful celebration of produce set in a space to match. Natural light fills this cozy atmosphere. Eclectic patterns play with inviting pillows and jewel-toned couches bounce off of modern white benches and natural wood pieces. The Canteen chair adds a vintage touch to the space. A visit to Columbus would not be complete without a stop in this space and an order of the day’s fresh creation.

Drink

HIGH BANK DISTILLERY CO. – Voted best new bar by Columbus Alive and 614 Magazine, High Bank takes a different approach to the saturated bar scene in Columbus. Located in Grandview, this trending spot produces and serves their very own bourbon. Their impressive cocktail menu features in-house creations to accompany a full restaurant menu with dishes just as intriguing. This space began as a warehouse, but with tufted banquettes lining the walls, warm lighting, and a place for games in the back, High Bank has successfully created an equal parts cool and inviting space for their guests. Completely outfitted in Crow Works furniture, the natural wood balances perfectly with industrial accents. With space perfect for gathering the whole group together, High Bank is a must-see spot for Columbus.

IMG_3078NORTH HIGH BREWING CO. – Columbus is passionate about beer, and the options for a place to enjoy one are seemingly endless. One stands out, though – North High Brewing. Located in the bar-filled Short North District, North High is unique. The team at North High takes a different approach to the beer experience with a focus on the core of it all – the brewing process. While you can enjoy your in-house brewed beer on our Swivel Pub stools in their taproom, you can actually go behind the bar and be your own brew master, creating your very own batch from scratch, seriously! If you prefer a less "DIY" experience, the taproom is a warm and no-fuss place to meet over Crow Works table tops and enjoy classic bar fare and award-winning brews.

PIN MECHANICAL CO. – With six locations popping up in only three years since opening their first location, Columbus-native Pins Mechanical Co. is doing something seriously right. Located downtown, this space is chock full of games and activities to accompany a full drink menu. By "games", we don’t mean an overused deck of cards and board games – Pins is home to 30 pinball machines, duck ball bowling alleys, an array of table games, and our personal favorite, giant pong on the massive outdoor patio. In between rounds, enjoy the Pinball Wizard cocktail in their Crow Works One-Ton stools, or gather with friends over the M1 tables. Our CW Pedestal table and Fixed I-Beam table also add to this bustling modern-mechanical space. Open to all ages until 8pm, this is a great space to bring the whole family.

THE W NAIL BAR – After a long visit of eating and drinking your way through the city, it’s time for some pampering. You’ve heard us talk about this Columbus star before, but it’s worth mentioning again. The W Nail Bar has changed the game when it comes to the expectations to set for your nail salon, and with a partnership with Columbus-based DSW, they are only going up from here. Founded by two sisters with a vision for clean, organic, and vegan nail polish and exceptional service, The W Nail Bar is both good for the environment and good for the soul, with aesthetics to match. Celebrating their nature-friendly products, Crow Works American White Oak paneling wraps the front desk and modern light fixtures while concrete table tops and metal finished in our Sea Salt finish balance perfectly alongside custom shelving and Waterfall tables. A stop in at The W Nail Bar is the perfect end to your Columbus stay.
